On 19 January 2022 BSAA hosted a lecture by Artem Sikorsky, Director of the Department of Aviation of the Republic of Belarus, on aviation logistics. The meeting was attended by undergraduates, studying at the speciality 1-37 80 01 Transport (Air Transport, Logistics of Air Transportation), as well as the Academy teaching staff.
Air transportation is the fastest and safest way of transporting passengers, baggage, cargo and mail. The Director of the Department allowed the audience to imagine themselves as logisticians faced with the task of organising air transportation in the most rational way. Giving examples from his own experience, Artem looked into a number of peculiarities of air logistics: the need to consider aircraft performance, economics and specifics of transportation.
At the end of the meeting, the BSAA students and employees asked questions about civil aviation of Belarus and heard first-hand comprehensive answers from the head.
