The legal basis for anti-corruption activities is contained in the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, which regulates the most important public relations. In addition, the Republic of Belarus is an active participant in a number of UN and Council of Europe conventions in the field of combating corruption and organized crime.
The Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 305-Z of 15 July 2015 "on combating corruption" (hereinafter-the law on combating corruption) is aimed at implementing the norms of the Constitution and international legal acts.
The Law on the fight against corruption:
- anti-corruption restrictions and prohibitions for public officials and persons equated to them are established;
- contains legal regulation of Declaration of income and property, elimination of consequences of corruption offenses, control (including public) and supervision of anti-corruption activities.
- the procedure of conflict of interest settlement is regulated.
