On February 26, 2020, at the initiative of the Language Training Division a conference was held with the participation of the first-year students of the specialties "Technical Maintenance of Aircraft and Engines", "Air Traffic Management", "Technical Maintenance of Ground Support Equipment".

The conference was prepared by the teachers of the Language Training Division Matskevich A.M., Boyko T.I., Poletaeva O.S. and the head of the Language Training Division Lazovsky G.B.

During the conference the issues of the history and prospects of aviation development were discussed. The names of Gastello, Maresyev, Boeing, Leonardo da Vinci and other people who made a significant contribution to the development of the aviation industry were heard in the participants' reports. The speakers demonstrated deep knowledge and wide horizons in various fields, including general and aviation English.

In addition to the participants, representatives of the administration attended the conference: O. N. Soldatova, Vice-Rector for Educational Work; D. Y. Myagkov, Dean of the Civil Aviation Department and others.

The future plans are to hold regular conferences on specialties with the involvement of other educational institutions.
