The Blood Donor Day held in Belarusian State Academy of Aviation on March, 19. 62 cadets took part in the action, initiator of which was the Department of city Centre of transfusiologyof Health Institution “6th City Clinical Hospital”.

There were a lot of beginners among those, who regularly comes to blood donation. BSAA Health Centre in conjunction with the Department of Educational Work with Young People provided all necessary conditions, thus guaranteeing safety and comfort of the procedure.

Medical check-up, absence of temporary and permanent contraindications are the main conditions for blood donation. Participation in the action is voluntary. All cadets have received cash awards.

Transfusion of donated blood and its elements is necessary for complicated medical operations, in obstetric practice, for people with serious illnesses and injured in accidents. The use of blood components annually saves millions of human lives.
