December 1 is World AIDS Day, first proclaimed by WHO in 1988. This day serves as a reminder of the need to stop the global spread of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, which is possible through increasing awareness.
Cadets of the Academy of Aviation took part in the fight against AIDS. For example, in hostel №1, the Cadet Council together with the specialists of social-pedagogical and psychological service held an action “AIDS is not transmitted through friendship”. During the action the guys put stickers on the poster, showing that they know and comply with the rules for the protection against AIDS, as well as solving a crossword puzzle on this topic. The cadets were given brochures with information about HIV/AIDS.
These steps helped to draw young people's attention to the spread of HIV, which is pandemic.
