Within the framework of Suicide Prevention Month at the Academy of aviation are held suicide prevention events. One of them was held on September 14, 2021. Teacher-psychologist Larisa Sazonova held a life-affirming talk with the 1st year cadets of the Faculty of Civil Aviation and the Department of Secondary-Specialized Education.

In the cinema hall of the hostel №2 cadets watched a video "Letter of father to son" and then actively discussed it together with the specialists of social-psychological service. And also they did some exercises for reflection on the meaning of life. At the meeting there was a reading of the poem of Mother Teresa and its analysis.

Speaking about the prevention of suicidal behavior, it is worth noting that first-year groups of the Faculty of Civil Aviation and the Department of Secondary-Specialized Education are tested on the "HopelessnessScale" (Becketal. 1974) to assess the perception of the present, past and future.
