The next stage of the national contest of professional skills among employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations "Best propaganda inspector of emergency bodies and units of the Republic of Belarus" was held in the BSAA auditorium on 24 November.
The winners of the regional stages competed in the Public Speaking category. Each participant had to deliver a speech on life safety in front of an audience of cadets from our academy. Their skills were assessed by a competent jury of professional presenters and journalists.
The contestants, Aleksandr Simonchik and Elena Krichko, introduced the cadets to statistics on emergencies, safety rules at home, how to call rescuers, how to extinguish a fire with improvised means and even how to safely collect mercury. Special attention was paid to the app "MES of Belarus: Help is near". Many cadets immediately installed it on their mobile phones.
Interactive games, quizzes, practical interaction, and a video sequence of prevention videos made it possible to convey important information to the audience and to absorb it. Sweet gifts and prizes in the form of keyrings and magnets with the MES logo added a touch of success and pride to the warm atmosphere of the event.
At the end, the satisfied cadets gave interviews in which they expressed their gratitude to the competitors and organisers of the event.
