The most lyrical and beautiful season of the year, autumn, is coming to an end. In autumn, you don't want to rush anywhere. On the contrary, it encourages leisurely strolls through cosy park alleys, where leaves rustle romantically underfoot. Autumn is time for philosophical meditations, hot tea, a warm plaid and friendly talks. It is a time for reading new books.

It is not only great poets and writers who have been inspired by autumn. Our cadets and staff took a most lively and active part in the library quilt 'What is Autumn...'. And in these last autumn days the library is ready to sum it up. A total of 243 associations were written.

The most popular definitions of autumn: season, fall of leaves, golden time, new school year, rain, reading books, new friends, birthday, rustling of leaves under feet.

The most original: "A slice of cold summer on one side and warm winter on the other"; "Autumn is the dreams of leaffall"; "Autumn is a marathon of fallen leaves, a rainy season, a cocktail of smoke and thoughts". And another creative association: Autumn is "choked" flights (due to bad weather conditions and high cloud cover, flights are cancelled).

Autumn sounds different in different languages. We would like to mention the foreign students from Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon and Tajikistan, who described this wonderful season in their native language.
