An event with training elements was held on 30 November to mark World AIDS Day.

The aim of the event was to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS-related issues and to develop skills to prevent HIV infection among students.

The event was attended by curators of educational groups Y120 and M120 T. Boyko and O. Poletayeva. The organizers were Deputy Chief for Educational Work A. Belskaya and educational psychologist of the Youth Education Department L. Sazonova.

At the beginning of the event the educational psychologist L. Sazonova acquainted the FCA cadets with the history of emergence and spread of the issue of routes of HIV infection. Within the framework of consideration of ways of HIV transmission the game "Free communication" was played, which vividly demonstrated how fast the disease can spread if one does not know the ways of its transmission. The cadet of the group Y120 A. Listopad made a report on preventive measures against HIV infection.

A comprehensive approach to HIV/AIDS helped students to understand that living a healthy life is the most effective way to prevent HIV infection, and develop principles of safe and responsible attitude towards HIV/AIDS.

At the end of the event, D. Maksimenko, a cadet of BSAA, played a game called "The Alphabet", which helped to update and consolidate the cadets' knowledge on the topic.
