On 15 December in Minsk, the results of the Republican Contest of Innovation Projects, organized by the State Committee for Science and Technology with the participation of the Ministry of Education, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarusian Republican Youth Union together with the Belarusian Innovation Fund, were summed up.

This year, 145 participants applied for the competition and defended their projects. But only 36 of them have become finalists. Among this number is a cadet of the Belarusian State Academy of Aviation Alexander Baranov who has been awarded with a finalist diploma in the category "The best youth innovation project" for his project "Eco-Dark model for water body studies and monitoring research".
